Zhengxiao Li received his PhD in Economics from Renmin University of China in 2017. He joined the School of Insurance and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in the same year and is currently an Associate Professor.

His main research interests include actuarial and statistical modeling, dependence and risk measures, and catastrophe risk management.

He has published papers in leading journals such as the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Insurance: Mathematics and Economics, and ASTIN Bulletin: The Journal of the International Actuarial Association, as well as in Chinese journals including Statistical Research, Journal of Applied Statistics and Management, Systems Engineering – Theory & Practice, and Insurance Studies.

He is currently leading a research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an innovation team project at UIBE, and has developed the R package rMGLReg.
